my art bucket list | summer 2020

aloha my lovelies! ☼

I hope you are all doing well! I’ve been thinking and compiling of list of things I would like to do this summer. And I thought I would share a few highlights.

✦ 1. work on the etsy shop

This has been on to-do list for the longest time and this summer I will start the process of creating all the images and posts, etc. It’ll be exciting!

✦ 2. try shibori

Indigo has such character in my opinion. I also think that it has a slightly more classic and timeless look when compared to tie-dye. It looks cleaner and minimal.

✦ 3. sew something for the wardrobe

I have an idea for a dress I’d like to make for myself and it would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe. There’s something very satisfying about making your own clothes.

✦ 4. work on my graphic design skills

If this is to be a profitable side gig of sorts, I ought to be somewhat capable at it. I’m going to explore video editing and try combining my graphic design skills with its more dimensional counterpart.

✦ 5. create a more cohesive brand

This is going to consist of a lot of researching, thinking, and creating mood boards. I’m more a visual person, so pictures and paint chips will help me to create a clearer image of what I want my brand to be.

✦ 6. bullet journal more…

I am a big believer in writing down your thoughts and clearing your mind, thereby organizing all the ideas floating around in the gray matter. Bullet journal-ling is such a perfect fit for the creative’s mind!

Let’s chat!

What are your plans for this summer?

      1. I’m reading a short story collection right now called ‘Aloha,’ then there’s one called ‘The Creole Princess’! I can’t think of the other titles right now 😂

  2. I keep wanting to finally pull out the sewing machine because making your own clothes is pretty cool, but I can never hunt down the opportunity to. Your art bucket list looks great! Very exciting.
