Essential Art Supplies

Hey there!

Here’s what are (in my humble opinion) the essential art supplies.

1. Pigma Micron Archival Ink Pens
·       I have the 3 set (size 01, 03, 05)

·       Black ink

·       I prefer the 03 for normal writing

 

2. Pentel Hi-Polymer Eraser
·       lasts a long time

·       cleans up pencil effectively

 

3. Matte Mod Podge
·       doesn’t yellow

·       great for mix media

 

4. X-Acto Knife
·       I have one from Blick

·       great for details

 

5. Pencil
·       I use Black Staedler Norica #2 HB

·       I like to put eraser caps on these to erase details

 

6. Gesso
·       I use homemade and store-bought Liquitex gesso

·       I have both Clear and White gesso

 

7. Color Pencils
·       I love to use Crayola (they are cheap :-))

·       easy to start with

·       I would also recommend using Progresso Koh-i-noor Woodless Color Pencils

 

8. White Gel Pen
·       Uniball Signo White Gel Pen is the best!

·       It has very opaque ink—writes on black and Kraft paper beautifully.
